Specs:

– High strength 5083 Aluminium laser cut and machined base plate.

– Cast alloy top cover with fins for strength and heat dissipation.

– Machined sealing surfaces.

– Viton rubber o-ring and nitrile rubber (both fuel resistant) base gasket to seal in boost pressure.

– All aluminium construction with stainless steel fasteners and top bracket.

– Base plate will suit Weber/FAJS/Empi/HPMX carbs in either 32/36 DGV ,38DGS, DFV or ADM configuration.

– Plenum internal diameter – 136mm (a bit large for 5-1/8″ air horns like Holley Quadrajet or Edelbrock carbs).

– Total height = 66mm, overall diameter = 148mm.

– Inlet diameter = 64mm (suit 2.5″ hose) – normal round hose and hose clamps tighten over oval inlet.


– Package includes Weber & FAJS carb fitting hardware (studs and nylock nuts).

These are our improved version 2 turbo plenum. We started with our existing modified K&N based unit and have taken it a step further. Improvements include a laser cut 8mm thick high strength 5083 aluminium base plate, that is machined flat on the carb mounting face, and the top is machined to accept a fuel resistant Viton rubber o-ring to ensure a good seal under boost, The original K&N style cast aluminium finned top cover then clamps down onto the o-ring using stainless steel hardware.

A fuel resistant nitrile rubber base gasket is supplied to seal boost between the plenum base and the top of the carb.

Fitting kit consists of 5mm nylock nuts to suit most Weber DGV and DGS carbs, as well as 6mm studs and stainless nylock nuts to suit reproductions carbs such as the FAJS DGV and DGS carbs. Studs will preserve the thread in the carb alloy castings, as opposed to using screws or bolts into the carb. Perfect for tuning as you have to remove the plenum to change jets in the carb, so if the plenum will be removed and refitted several times, the threads in the carb aren’t damaged or worn out if using studs.

Top can be swivelled 360 degrees, allowing for either front or side entry, or anywhere in between, which makes is easy to mate up to your turbo plumbing. They are bare alloy, and look good as they are, but they could be easily polished, or painted like the K&N units.

We are now supplying these version 2 plenums as part of our blow through Weber carb kits. They are approx 66mm tall and clear the top of the air riser on DGV style Weber carbs easily, so they do not cause a restriction at higher air flows.
