Lynx single DCOE intake manifold                 
Lynx single DCOE linkage kit to suit
2 x Bosch fuel injectors (chose from sizes 252cc, 370cc, 440cc 550cc – larger sizes also available for extra cost)
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) 
Electrical connectors for injectors and TPS (flyling lead supplied, but crim pin kits are available)
2 x air horns to suit TB size chosen (either chrome steel or die cast aluminium – air filters also available)
Fitting kit for manifold and throttle body – manifold studs, heater hose fitting, etc.

Description

EFI kit designed for an Isuzu G series SOHC engine (G161, G180, G200) within a Holden Gemini, models TX-TG, but could easily be used in the engine bays of a Jackaroo, Rodeo, etc.  Will also bolt onto 4Z series engines.

 

NOTE: Although I have photos showing this kit fitted in Gemini TD engine bay, using the later model brake master cylinder with built in reservoirs, I have had reports that the TX remote reservoir master cylinder is required to run a single DCOE side draft carb or throttle body.  Unfortunately I don’t have anything but a TX here to check fitment right now, so at this stage, our advice is if you have a TC-TG Gemini, you will need a remote fluid reservoir like the TX has.

 

INTAKE MANIFOLD

The single DCOE Lynx manifold is a cross over style, to give optimum mixture and airflow distribution to each cylinder, taking into account the Gemini firing order of 1-3-4-2.   These manifolds flow more than the original carb manifolds, so especially when combined with one of our EFI throttle bodies, they provide a good flow increase and a upgrade over stock.

 

 

THROTTLE BODY

The DCOE Throttle body (TB) is supplied in 45mm to suit the intake manifold, however they are available in 40mm, 42mm, 45mm, 48mm and 50mm butterfly sizes.  Typically you would match the size of the throttle body to the intake manifold being used, staying on the conservative side, remembering that a 40mm throttle body will outflow an off the shelf 45mm 45DCOE carb, as they don’t have chokes, auxiliary venturi or acc pump nozzles interrupting the airflow like the carbs do.

 

TB features are:

– Weber DCOE pattern throttle body

– CNC billet aluminium fuel rail – to suit 14mm o-ring injectors

– Parallel bore barrels

– Machined base flange for included o-rings – therefore no gaskets required between TB and manifold

– Idle air bleeds to finely balance idle airflow to each cylinder

– Sealed throttle shaft ball bearings – can be used in turbo application, either draw through or blow through

 

 

FUEL INJECTORS

The Bosch injectors are available in various flow ratings from 252cc up to 550cc, with brand name aftermarket injectors (based on original Bosch units) being used for bigger options like 550cc.  If you are unsure what injector size you need, just email us and we can do the calcs for you.

 

 

OTHER PARTS REQUIRED

This is not a bolt on plug and play kit, in the sense that other parts are required to do an EFI conversion and use this kit.  Other pars are required such as:

 

Computer ~$500-$1350 – an EFI computer is needed to control the injector timing and pulse widths.  Also most computers will have the option to control igntion timing, allowing performance and driveability improvements from custom ignition mapping.  We can supply EFI computers to suit, and generally have both a low end and premium option, depending on your budget and required features.
Fuel pump & fuel pressure regulator ~$150– a high pressure EFI pump and regulator are required to feed the fuel rail on the throttle body – we can supply either a 200hp or 300hp capable EFI pump, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.  We keep all of these in stock.
Ignition – $99 – if wanting to run mappable ignition timing, we can supply either a hall effect cam sensor for single coil/distributor setups, a crank trigger for wasted spark, or a crank trigger and cam trigger for sequential ignition using 4 coils.
Wiring loom – the computer/ECUs that we supply come with new wiring looms, and any other sensors required such as water temp, air temp, etc, are all available.
