This kit is a blow through carb kit, it is not a turbo kit, but it allows you to use a carb induction system and “blow through” it with boost from a turbo or supercharger.
The blow through carb kit includes all new components, including a genuine European Weber 32/36 DGV carb and complete high pressure fuel system.
The kit comes will all the little parts that are needed, like gaskets, hose clamps, studs, nuts and bolts, etc. There is no fabrication necessary, it is truly a bolt on kit.
With the appropriate supporting mods (head porting, intercooler, non restrictive exhaust), this kit will support up to 200hp (186kW) – Possibly more depending on how far you want to push it.
This is a complete bolt on kit designed to include every component required to install the carb and fuel system to the engine. This is a kit designed to bolt on and then run the engine, the carb will be roughly jetted to suit your engine, which will get you up and running before fine tuning to suit your engine setup.
CARB – New Weber 32/36 DGV
The carb is a new Weber 32/36 DGV (manual choke option). We specify our carbs to suit the rigors of blow through turbo use, and they perform very well. We then further modify them for blow through turbo use as detailed below. The Weber carb will be roughly jetted to suit the application, but as stated above, you will need to have your mixtures checked and adjusted, preferably on a dyno, before running the engine on boost and chasing horsepower. We also offer cost effective jetting kits to fine tune the carb to suit your engine.

– New custom boost referenced power valve and carb body machining to suit new operation. |

– Power valve trigger point is 2psi of boost and automatically richens fuel mixture when on boost. |

– Solid polymer fuel float to handle over 25psi of boost pressure. |
|
– Nitrile rubber top cover gasket to seal the carb under boost pressure. |

– Modifications to the carb to ensure sealing under boost with no boost leaks, including removal of choke butterflies, and primary/secondary linkage engagement point modified. |

– Re-jetted to suit your application – including idle, mains, & air corrector jets, emulsion tubes and larger high speed enrichment restrictors. |

– Stringent quality control and Weber factory flow and wet fluid tested to ensure correct operation.– Modified carb is tested in our pressure jig to confirm correct modified power valve operation. |

If needed, at additional cost, we can also enlarge the power valve restrictor which is basically the ‘jet’ size that controls how much boost fuel enrichment the carb delivers. |

INDUCTION SYSTEM
Compressed air from the turbo or super charger is directed to the Weber carb using our v2 DGV turbo plenum. These are our Australian design/manufactured turbo plenums using laser cut and machined base plates with viton o-ring seal, and cast aluminium top cover. FUEL SYSTEM
Blow Through FPR
The kit is based on a premium quality Bosch high pressure EFI pump, which uses the SPA Turbo FPR to bring the fuel pressure down to carb operating levels. The FPR gives a 1.2:1 rise in fuel pressure vs. boost pressure, which keeps your fuel pressure above boost pressure at all times and keeps your fuel bowl full.
The EFI fuel pump used is either the Bosch Gemini replacement pump we offer, that is installed inside the original fuel tank of TX-TG model sedans, or alternatively a larger external Bosch Motorsport 070 pump is used for Gemini Vans/Wagons and other vehicle such as Rodeos, etc. The in-tank pump will deliver enough fuel for a 250hp blow through carb setup. The larger 070 Bosch external pump will support over 350hp on turbo blow through carb engines. However the stock 1/4″ fuel return line will need to be upgraded to run the 070 Bosch external pump.

As the fuel pressure required for the Weber carb will be around 5-6psi when off boost, and anywhere up to about 25psi when boosted, high pressure fuel hose is required. Enough high pressure hose is supplied to plumb up the whole car, from the electric in-tank pump, to the engine bay, to hook up filter, regulator and carb, and to connect to the return line. All hose clamps, adaptors, EFI fuel filter and fittings are also supplied.
