Description

The 44IDF Weber carb is a compact design synchronous carb sold to suit many performance applications.  It features ball bearing throttle shafts for smooth operation, and fully adjustable idle and main circuits, so you can have economical cruising, whilst still being able to get ideal mixtures for maximum power under full throttle.  The IDF carbs are hard to beat for bang for your buck.   Instead of us giving a full description here, just google 44IDF and you’ll find more info than you will have time to read.

We spec all of our DCOE and IDF carbs with adjustable idle air bleeds to help balance twin and quad carb setups.

We also spec all of our carbs with full manifold vac ports, so if you want a run a full manifold vacuum system for brake booster or ignition vacuum advance, and were going to drill and tap each manifold runner to install a fitting, you don’t need to because each barrel of each carb has a vacuum port that you can use.  And we have the small hose tails fittings available too to connect your vac lines to.

We can supply single, twin or quad IDF intake manifolds for most engines including linkage kits and gasket kits.

We have setup lots of these IDF carbs for customers, ranging from single carb installs, to quad carbs on small block Chev V8’s.  We only use FAJS brand carbs, as these have proven to be a quality carb, identical in performance and tuning to genuine Weber brand carbs.  There are now lots of Weber IDF copies on the market, and the very cheapest carbs do appear to be lower in quality.
